Ford recalls 15,700 cars in Russia due to engine problems
MOSCOW, Jan 22 (PRIME) -- The U.S. automaker Ford’s official representative in Russia is recalling 15,670 Kuga and C-Max cars in the country due to possible fire in the engine area, the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology said on Monday.
The cars were sold in Russia from May 2012 through December 2014.
“The reason for recalling Ford vehicles (Kuga, C-Max) is the local overheating of the cylinder head. This can lead to the formation of cracks and cause leakage of oil that is under pressure, which can cause a fire in the engine area,” the statement said.
